Powerhouse Investigations is owned and operated by Michael Morelli, a licensed Tulsa private investigator. Powerhouse Investigations specializes in pre-trial investigations, witness interviews, infidelity investigations, and insurance investigations. Morelli has assisted attorneys with investigating personal injury cases and accident investigations across Oklahoma.

Morelli also serves people as a missionary and has ministered in 41 nations. Through his international work he gained invaluable experience in understanding and relating to all kinds of people. This comes in handy as an investigator. He is the author of several books and is a working actor appearing in films, TV and stage.

In my work as a licensed private investigator, I spend a lot of time digging through court files, searching databases, conducting confidential interviews, and writing reports. I value professionalism. I am licensed, bonded and insured. Confidentiality is mandated by law. I don’t obtain information illegally. In short, I follow all state and federal laws governing my industry.

What kinds of cases do you work?

I mostly work with attorneys, assisting them with investigating cases before they head to trial. I help locate and interview witnesses for personal injury cases and some criminal defense cases. I perform criminal background checks on individuals, which is often a vital step in the investigation. Interviewing is an art form, and it’s something I love to do. I investigate insurance fraud. I’ve also work on child custody cases and cheating spouse investigations.

I network with investigators and other professionals throughout the region. I may be able to refer you to a colleague, who has a special set of skills, if that’s what you need.

Yes. It’s mandated by law.

How much will this cost?

In Oklahoma, you’ll find that licensed private investigators’ hourly rates vary from $75 to $150 an hour, or more. I charge $85 an hour, plus expenses. The cost for a case depends on how many hours I work. I also recoup case-related expenses such as paid database searches, photos, and mileage, at the current IRS rate.

How do I pay?

I ask for a retainer at the start of a case, typically 25 percent of the estimated total, to cover case-related expenses. I accept cash, local checks, Visa, Master Card and American Express.
